Main Ring Attraction 2025: Dark Horse Stunt Team
This year we welcome Danielle Scott and her Dark Horse Stunt Team to entertain us in the main ring with a fantastic demonstration of both horse and rider acrobatics to a Country and Western Theme.
Dannie is also a Licensed Animal Trainer and Animal Casting Agent for Entertainment, Photo-shoots, Live Events, Commercials, Film & TV.
She is a specialised Horse Master with a background of working professionally as an Assistant Director on multiple HETV & feature films including: Star Wars, Peaky Blinders, Fast & Furious, Peter Rabbit plus more - and now provides all kinds of animals from Battle Horses, Police type dogs, Wolf look-a-likes, Farm Animals & General Pets for various tv and film roles.

Drymen Show is delighted to announce that we will be running our Children's Fancy Dress On Horseback Competition again in the main ring on show day.
We've had some fantastic outfits over the past few years with prizes awarded; 1st Prize is £25, 2nd £15 and 3rd £10 and everyone gets a rosette

Band Stage
Sponsored by Timage Quality Haylage (www.timagescltland.co.uk) who provide our band stage and ran by local's Denver Chalmers and Robert Reid we are pleased to advise the following acts on our now infamous Band Stage with more to be announced.
Local Loch Lomond Ukelele Orchestra will also be delighting us with their tunes again. Made up of 50 locals of differing ages and abilities it's been a great community initiative helping people to come together to learn a musical instrument, sing and enjoy themselves.
Local Artists - Acoustic Station with Denver Chalmers, Mark Curtis and Gary Fleming McAlpine who will also entertain us with some fantastic live music and great tunes and we're delighted to welcome also HMNB Faslane Wind Band for the first time

Learning Zone and Royal Highland Educational Trust (RHET)
Drymen Show is pleased to announce the return of our Learning Zone which is always a great hit for families every year.
It's in the usual place at the top end of the Main Ring, a real destination point now for children as it also hosts our School and Nursery Competition Entries too.
This year we'll be focussing on all things Dairy with lots of interesting facts and things to do associated with this area of farming, including a few wee calves to see and pet.
We'll also have lambs, sheep, goats, rabbits and maybe a pig and donkey for you to have a look and even a pet a few of them.

RHET aims to provide the opportunity for every child in Scotland to learn about food, farming and the countryside and to create a wider understanding of the environmental, economic and social realities of rural Scotland.
The purpose of RHET is to bring farming and the working countryside and its practices to life for young people. SWI (Rural Tent) & Open Classes For Baking, Floral Art And Craft
Drymen Show wouldn't be the show it is without the fantastic displays of creativity and skills on show in our SWI (Rural) Tent.
For all visitors make sure you pop in before or after judging to see the exhibits and join in their raffle.
Within the SWI Tent we also host our Open Classes for anyone not in the SWI.

Make sure to visit our 2 craft tents to have a look and maybe even purchase some fantastic home made crafts from local producers.
In one of the craft tents you can also see our walking stick competition. Ran by West Calder Stick Makers Club there will also be demonstrations throughout the day showing how these fantastic sticks are made.
This year as well as the Champion Stick winning our James Bilsland Trophy there is a £10 voucher being awarded by Scottish Crookmakers Association

Every year Drymen Show helps celebrate the creative work of our local nursery and school children by running our Schools Competition and then displaying all entries in our School's Tent.

Birds Of Prey
Drymen Show is delighted to have the Falconer Martin McCulloch from KG Hawks at our show again this year with a stand to allow you to meet their birds closer up.
Located in Skelmorlie on the west coast of Scotland, KG Hawks have numerous highly trained birds and offer a wide range of services.
They are highly committed to conservation and education with years of experience within the educational system from teaching nursery and school children to special needs children and adults.
They also use their birds to explain the effects of man on the habitats of the birds and the impact this has on the environment.

Breed Boards
Drymen Show with the support of the Royal Highland And Agricultural Society have created 19 Breed Boards which will be situated throughout the show to help inform and educate visitors on the various breeds being shown.
Each board has been signed off by the relevant Breed Society's and contains a picture and key facts about the breed.
If you miss them at our show don't worry we share them with the other 4 locals shows also; Gargunnock, Stirling, Doune and Dunblane and Braco.

School 5-A-Side Football Competition
We are delighted to be hosting our inter school 5-A-Side footabll competition again this year for both girls and boys, which has new sponsors and trophies this year and is always fantastic fun.
Pitches are found at the top of the show, beyond the Petr's Tent and Clydesdales.

Sheep Shearing Demonstration

Following the success of our photo competition last year, Drymen Show is delighted to announce it's return this year.
We would love to get as many photos of the show this year, to post on Facebook, on our web site and use in some of our publicity material going forward.
We'd therefore love you to send us your photos from the day and the best 3 photos in each category, as decided by the Committee, will be posted back here on Facebook for you to judge the winners, who will get family passes for next year's show.
There are 2 categories:
- Animal Magic - The best photo of any animals at the show
- Show Time - The best photo that captures what Drymen Show is all about.
Just a couple of rules:
- No rude photos please!!!
- If your photo directly includes children please ask the consent of their parents, guardians or carers.
